Season’s Greetings
A PRAYER BEFORE OPENING GIFTS
Almighty, ever-lasting
God, give us eyes to sense what has gone into the gifts here shared – the
thoughtfulness in their selection, the care in their adornment, the love in
their giving. Let us see in them tiny reflections of the great gift of your Son
– thoughtfully selected, humbly adorned, graciously given. In His holy name we
pray. Amen
OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FROM
DECEMBER 24-28.

Our
Sympathy to the families of
Ben Murnahan, Mary McClellan and Rosemary Varney, sister of
Eddie Holland (one of our RCIA candidates) who died this past week. May our ever-loving
God grant them eternal peace and comfort them at this time of loss.
Thank You
to the St. Mary ladies who supplied food to those working on the South
Webster Habitat for Humanity house this past Wednesday. They prepared the food
and delivered it. I’m sure they appreciated their kindness!
NET MINISTRIES: One of our own, Chad VanHoose with NET
Ministries (National Evangelization Team) will be speaking at all the Masses
this weekend, Dec. 21-22. Chad will be sharing his missionary work and his
connections with the “Nunnies” in Rochester, MN and the new Catholic outreach
to Shawnee St. University. He would like to personally invite everyone to meet
with him in Maroon Hall after Mass.
(PASTOR’S NOTE: A second collection will be taken to help support NET Ministries and Chad.)
30 ways to live a holier life…19th one. Keep your faith
visible. Add candles, Christian
pictures and statues to your home. They serve as visual reminders of who is
really the center of your life.
